04/29/98 - I finally unpacked my last box. Just old pamphlets and manuals. Otherwise, first month in Beaverton is going good. I really love being able to say up watching TV, since I'm closer to work.
04/23/98 - I set up my telephone and checked the voicemail. There was one old message already saved, but it was just static. Probably leftover from the previous tenant.
04/20/98 - I moved into the Beaverton apartment today. The hallway smelled faintly like fresh paint. The previous tenant must have left recently because the carpet still has that “cleaned” look.
04/14/98 - Just spent most of the evening packing. I’m surprised how much fits into the small boxes. My neighbor from Tigard offered me an old lamp he didn’t want anymore, so I took it. About to pack up the computer, so this is probably my last entry for a couple days.
04/13/98 - Noticed the commute has felt longer lately, even though it isn’t. That convinced me to start the moving process. I found the Beaverton listing in the newspaper classifieds.
03/29/98 - Bought this home computer yesterday. It’s a little slower than the one at work, but it should be fine for what I need. The startup sound is louder than I expected. First thing I did is make this entry. It's nice to move from writing in my journal to typing on my computer, which definitely motivates me to write (or type) more.

03/25/98 - At work, the tech guy mentioned computers are becoming cheaper lately. That got me thinking about getting one of my own.
03/21/98 - The weather has been cooler lately. I saw frost on the lawn outside this morning. It melted quickly once the sun came up.
03/19/98 - Someone at work brought in donuts today. The chocolate ones disappeared first, as usual. I got a powdered sugar one, which are my 3rd favorite donut.
03/11/98 - I reorganized the drawer in my desk at work. I found a pen I thought I had lost last month.
02/27/98 - This afternoon, the office received a new shipment of toner. One box was mislabeled but correct inside.
02/25/98 - Today was a pretty cold day. The bus's windows were fogged slightly. Someone drew a smiley face in the condensation, which made me smile.
02/22/98 - Today marks the second year I've lived in Tigard. It's a pretty nice city, I just don't like waking up late to go to work, especially in Portland traffic.
02/19/98 - My sister Margaret and her husband had their 6th anniversary today, and I called to congratulate them!
02/16/98 - Yesterday was Valentine's Day, so my co-worker Janice brought in those little chocolates during lunch, I got two, and they were great.
02/12/98 - I've decided to start writing in this journal. It's just a way to document stuff. For today; nothing too interesting.
